Everything from dogs and cats to rabbits and ferrets will be available for adoption at this year’s Pet-A-Palooza!

Rescue organizations will be on site to help make sure this is the biggest adoption event in St. Louis.

Visitors will be able to complete applications to adopt pets, and your furry friend can be claimed at the shelter after the event.

Our greyhounds come from race tracks, greyhound farms, dog pounds, and animal shelters. We are always on-call to help a greyhound in need.

tenthlife 150 Adoption Agencies On Site At Pet A Palooza 2013Tenth Life Cat Rescue saves stray cats and kittens in the St. Louis area, prioritizing those with special needs. Tenth Life believes that every cat, regardless of emotional or physical limitations, deserves the chance at a fulfilling and happy life.

Through the support of the community, the APA is able to provide shelter and care for homeless dogs and cats, adoption services, veterinary clinic, lost and found assistance, and education and outreach.

The mission is to end homelessness for animals in the Metro East through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, community outreach and education. They believe education is the key to reducing the homeless animal problem in the community.

STAR_150newSt. Louis Avian Rescue is an all-volunteer rescue and adoption group formed in 2002, to help homeless birds in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Their volunteers foster a variety of bird species, with the eventual goal of placement in forever homes. They also strive to educate and instruct the public in not only the care of companion birds, but in the appreciation of wild birds as well.

5acres 150 Adoption Agencies On Site At Pet A Palooza 2013Five Acres’ mission is to end pet homelessness, promote responsible pet ownership, and advocate for animal welfare. Five Acres Animal Shelter is the only no-kill animal shelter in St. Charles County, Missouri. They do NOT euthanize their animals to make room for new ones – the dogs and cats in their care stay as long as needed until they find their forever home.

Reducing pet overpopulation and educating the public about responsible pet ownership complete their mission.

They are an all-volunteer, foster based non-profit organization with all proceeds going directly to the care of the animals. Their mission is to rescue highly adoptable small breed dogs from high kill shelters, both locally and nationwide. Many very adoptable small breed dogs are available in California, Miami, and Manhattan, and are euthanized due to overpopulation in those areas.

Volunteers provide foster care, veterinary care and rehabilitation for these needy dogs, ultimately finding them forever homes.
