Brenda Booth and Collier Evans joined me this morning for another edition of St. Louis Voices.
Brenda is the Executive Director of Isaiah 58 Ministries, which operates a food pantry, thrift store and healthy lifestyle program for those in need. The organization helps people adopt better habits and routines with free exercise programs, healthy recipes and cooking classes, lunch and learn events, health fairs, and other community resources.
Brenda discussed the Hunger for More event, which features bars and restaurants across St. Louis. Participating venues donate a percentage of sales one day a week, every week, during the season of Lent. Collier owns Mangia Italiano and he explained why his restaurant decided to participate in Hunger for More.
