Ever been on vacation and had the best meal of your life and wished you could have it for your birthday, or other special occasion? There’s a website that ships some of America’s best foods to anywhere in the country! It’s called FoodyDirect.com.
Obviously, this is geared more toward those with lots of extra money. Shipping is based upon how far you live from a particular restaurant. Imagine surprising your hubby with his favorite, Skyline Chili from Cincinnati? Or a reminder of your best vacation ever in Northern Michigan with cherry pie FROM the Cherry Capitol of the world, Travere City, Michigan?
The owners of FoodyDirect.com say they only feature foods that ship well. This isn’t just any food, it’s special food that’s been featured, such places as on Oprah’s Favorite Things list.
I’ve heard quite a few people, including famous St. Louisans, say they have had Imo’s shipped to them, including Jenna Fisher.
What in St. Louis couldn’t you live without, if you moved away?
Hmmm. . . can they ship margaritas from Pueblo Solis? I kinda doubt it. . .
You can keep your provel, but I think I would miss Zia’s salad, or the salad from Brazie’s in South City. Mmmm. . .I must be hungry because I wouldn’t mind Pointer’s Wings or Maurizio’s wings, if I were halfway across the world from STL!!! I would miss Queso Fundido from Pueblo Solis. The fresh guacamole at Tortilleria in the Central West End would be worth shipping! Of course, a Cardinal Sin from Ted Drewes would be missable!
