Thank goodness, Little St. Louis Monsters, that Lady Gaga came to the S-T-L when she did.  Yesterday, Lady Gaga tweeted how devastated she was that she had to cancel four dates on her Born This Way Ball Tour.  There is much worse news today.

Initially, it was thought that Lady Gaga was suffering from severe joint inflammation.  Upon further medical testing this morning, it seems she has a labral tear of her right hip that will require surgery and extensive recovery.  It’s easy to see, if you were fortunate enough to see her show, she works very hard.  Unfortunately, the remainder of her Born This Way Ball Tour has been cancelled.

Here is the posting from Gaga’s official website, http://www.Littlemonsters.com.

Born This Way Ball Tour Cancellation

Wednesday, 13 February 2013 – For immediate release.

Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga Born This Way Ball performances have been cancelled.

After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal.

Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.

Get well soon, Mother Monster!
