Call it a comeback!  2013, so far, is looking better for John Mayer!  He was sidelined last year with doctor’s orders to avoid singing.  He developed a granuloma in his vocal chord in 2011.  He had surgery, rested his vocal chords, and was ready to tour in 2012.  He even put out the album, Born And Raised.  Unfortunately, the granuloma returned.  He, once again, had surgery, and was ordered not to talk, then not to sing.

Last night, he put on a concert to raise funds for firefighters that had battled a massive fire in Montana, in the area where he owns a home.  He performed for the first time in two years!

He may not be up to his best work, yet.  He joked, “don’t have a ton of range … I’m a 70-year-old version of myself.  Lower your expectations.”

Baby steps, John.  Baby steps.  Are you excited for a Mayer comeback??
