Week of 12.22 – STL 20 Countdown with Paul Cook

This week on the STL 20, Kelly Clarkson and Taylor Swift join the countdown with their latest singles, and the boys from Maroon 5 try and hold on to the number one spot. Can they do it? Keep reading the STL 20 recap to find out!

#20 – Gotye – “Somebody That I Used To Know”

Belgium-Australian musician, Gotye comes in #20 this week with his song “Somebody That I Used To Know from his 2011 album, Making Mirrors.

#19 – Kelly Clarkson – “Catch My Breath”

Joining the countdown this week is Kelly Clarkson with her single “Catch My Breath” from her first greatest hits album, Greatest Hits: Chapter One.

#18 – Carly Rae Jepsen – “Call Me Maybe”

Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen stays strong at #18 with her single, “Call Me Maybe” from her first EP, Curiosity.

#17 – Ed Sheeran – “The A Team”

This week is English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran comes in at #17 with his single “A Team” from his debut album, +, which was released in 2011.

#16 – Ellie Goulding – “Lights”

English singer and songwriter, Ellie Goulding comes in at #16 with her single “Lights” from her 2010 debut album, Lights.

#15 – Taylor Swift – “I Knew You Were Trouble”

Also joining the countdown this week is Taylor Swift with her latest single “I Knew You Were Trouble” from her album Red.

#14 – Neon Trees – “Everybody Talks”

Coming in at #14 this week  is Neon Trees with their latest single, “Everyone Talks” from their second studio album, Picture Show released in December 2011.

#13 – Katy Perry – “Wide Awake”

Katy Perry comes in at #13 this week  with her latest single, “Wide Awake” from her 2012 album, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection.

#12 -Pink – “Try”

This week,  Pink comes in at #12  with her latest single “Try” from her sixth studio album The Truth About Love.

#11 – Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen – “Good Time”

Owl City & Carly Rae Jepsen jump to the #11 spot with “Good Time” from Owl City’s album The Midsummer Station.

#10 – Pink – “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)”

Pink comes in at #10 this week with her latest single, “Blow Me (One Last Kiss)” from her forthcoming sixth studio album The Truth About Love, released September 18th 2012.

#9 – Train – “50 Ways To Say Goodbye”

Train comes in at #9 this week with their latest single “50 Ways To Say Goodbye” from their six studio album, California 37.

#8 – OneRepublic – “Feel Again”

This week OneRepublic comes in at #8 with their latest single “Feel Again” from their third studio album, Native due out this month.

#7 – The Lumineers – “Ho Hey”

American folk, rock band The Lumineers come in at #7 with their single “Ho Hey” from their self-titled album that was released in April 2012.

#6 – Taylor Swift – “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”

Taylor Swift comes in at #6 with her latest single “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” from her fourth studio album Red released August 2012.

#5 – Alex Clare – “Too Close”

British singer and song-writer, Alex Clare comes in at #5 on the countdown this week with his single “Too Close” from his 2011 album, The Lateness of the Hour.

#4 – Fun. – “Some Nights”

Fun. comes in at #4 this week on the countdown with their latest single “Some Nights” from their second studio album Some Nights.

#3 – Bruno Mars – “Locked Out of Heaven”

Bruno Mars comes in at #3 with his latest single “Locked Out of Heaven” from his upcoming second studio album, Unorthodox Jukebox which is due out December 11, 2012.

#2 – Maroon 5 – One More Night” 

Maroon 5 gets booted from number one and comes in at #2 with their latest single, “One More Night”  from their fourth studio album Overexposed.

#1 – Phillip Phillips – “Home”

Phillip Phillips comes in at #1 this week with his single “Home” from the American Idol Season 11 Highlights (Phillip Phillips EP).
