Eric Stonestreet, who plays Cam on “Modern Family”, got into it with a Cards fan over the weekend during the Cards/Dodgers series in L.A.

The details are kind of sketchy, but Eric apparently confronted a Cards fan who was heckling a player (and can I just say to the Cardinals fan – you should know better! We’re classier than that, buddy! We’re the best fans in baseball!). After trading words, the two were escorted from their seats.

Eric says that despite reports he was NOT kicked out of the game. He later Tweeted, “I did NOT get kicked out of the Dodgers game last night. Did I get escorted to the top of the stairs by security? Yes. Yes I sure did.”

It sounds like the Cards fan was in the wrong. I’m curious to find out what was said between the two. Eric is from Missouri, and so is his character Cam. If you watch the show, you know that once in a while they work a Missouri joke/line into the show.

Here’s a pic from earlier this summer that shows Eric in a Royals jersey at a Cards/Royals game. Maybe he’s rooting for the wrong side of the state? I tend to think they were in Royals jerseys because the game was in K.C….I mean, Jon Hamm loves the Cards!
