The ball hit the crossbar and bounced about fifteen feet straight up in the air before falling down on the other side.
Jason Elam, Sebastian Janikowski and Tom Dempsey have also kicked 63-yarders. Dempsey was the first to do it, in 1970.
The 49ers won the game 30-22.
