The votes are in, and the Netherlands’ Field Hockey team has been given the title of Most Beautiful Team at the Olympics. You can see their picture above.
Some other stories from the Olympics:
- Beneath that ego (and that grill), Ryan Lochte is a good guy after all.
- #NBCFail has become a trending topic on Twitter, but there was no fail worse than last night’s prime time coverage during swimming.
Many people feel like they have to stay off social media for the next two weeks, so they don’t find out the winners of Olympic events before they’re rerun in prime time. But it didn’t matter on Monday night, when NBC ran a promo for the “Today” show six minutes before they ran the women’s 100-meter backstroke. 17-year-old Missy Franklin won her first Olympic gold, but NBC spoiled it in the promo running ahead of the race, which said, “When you’re 17-years-old and win your first gold medal, there’s nobody you’d rather share it with. We’re there when Missy Franklin and her parents reunite…”
The best reaction on Twitter came from Elise Hasbrook, “Seriously? I stay off Twitter all day & right before Missy Franklin swims NBC runs a promo for the gold medal interview with her? #NBCFail”
