It’s full speed ahead for changes for the upcoming season of American Idol.  Steven Tyler announced that he was done with the show.  Now there is talk that Randy Jackson’s role may be re-arranged.

Sources are saying that Randy Jackson may take on more of a mentoring role with the show, rather than act as a judge.  And there is talk that diva of all divas, Mariah Carey, will replace Jennifer Lopez.  Jennifer Lopez has dropped hints that she may be done with the show.  Didn’t you get tired of wishing you looked like her every Wednesday and Thursday night anyway?!

I say, bring it, Mariah!  She doesn’t want her hubby to be the only one involved in reality competition.  Idol Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe has said his dream judge panel would consist of “Jerry Lewis and Charlie Sheen.”  Charlie responded!  He said he’s down for Idol, provided, his current network F/X says it’s ok and Idol matches his salary by donating 20% of his weekly salary to the Boys & Girls Clubs and Autism Speaks.
