This week on the STL 20, see which popular boy band knocks out Gotye from the number one spot, and see which artist joins the countdown again, giving her two songs in the countdown! Keep reading the STL 20 recap for the find out!

Each week, Paul Cook brings you the recap of what’s been hot on the airwaves. Check out the Y98 STL 20 every Saturday morning from 8 – 10am to find out which songs were on top for the week and which artists have songs on the rise.

 

#20 – Katy Perry – “Wide Awake”

Katy Perry joins the STL 20 countdown this week at #20 with her latest single, “Wide Awake” from her 2012 album, Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection.

#19 – Christina Perri – “A Thousand Years”

Christina Perri comes in at #19 this week with “A Thousand Years,” the second single from The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 1: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack.

#18 – Bruno Mars – “It Will Rain”

Bruno Mars comes in at #18 this week with his latest single, “It Will Rain.”

#17 – Adele – “Set Fire to the Rain”

Adele holds on to the #17  this week on the countdown with her third single “Set Fire to the Rain,” from 2010′s 21.

#16 - Karmin – “Brokenhearted”

Coming in at #16 this week is Karmin with their single “Brokenhearted” from their 2012 debut album, Hello.

#15 – Rihanna – “We Found Love”

Rihanna jumps falls back to #15 this week with “We Found Love,” the lead single from her sixth studio album, 2011′s Talk That Talk.

#14 – Neon Trees – “Everybody Talks”

Neon Trees come in at #14 with their latest single, “Everyone Talks” from their second studio album, Picture Show released in December 2011.

#13 – Jessie Jay- “Domino” 

Jessie J stays slips back this week on the countdown to #13 with her latest single “Domino” from her first studio album Who Are You.

#12 – Flo Rida ft. Sia – “Wild Ones”

This week Flo Rida featuring Sia jump to #12 with their song “Wild Ones” from Flo Rida’s upcoming fourth studio album Wild Ones.

#11- Katy Perry- “Part Of Me”

Katy Perry falls back to #11 this week with “Part Of Me” from her album Teenage Dream: The Complete Confection.

#10 – Jason Mraz – “I Won’t Give Up”

Jason Mraz falls back to #10 with “I Won’t Give Up” from his upcoming fourth studio album, Love Is a Four Letter Word..

#9 – Kelly Clarkson – “Stronger (What Doesn’t Kill You Makes You)”

Kelly Clarkson comes in at #9 this week with her song, “Stronger,” released as the second single from 2011′s Stronger.

#8- Train – “Drive By”

Train falls back to #8 with their song, “Drive By” from their upcoming album California 37.  Train comes to the Peabody Opera House on July 29th! Tickets on sale now!

#7 – One Direction – “What Makes You Beautiful”

One Direction comes in at #7 this week with their single “What Makes You Beautiful” from their 2011 debut studio album, Up All Night.

#6 – Adele – “Rumor Has It”

Adele comes in at number #6 this week with her fourth single “Rumor Has It” from her 2010 album 21.

#5 – Carly Rae Jepsen – “Call Me Maybe”

Canadian singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen jumps ahead in the countdown to #5 this week with her single, “Call Me Maybe” from her first EP, Curiosity.

#4- fun. – “We Are Young”

Indie pop band fun. take the #4 spot this week with their single, “We Are Young” from their second studio album Some Nights released in February 2012.

#3 – Maroon 5 – “Payphone”

Maroon 5 jumps ahead in the countdown to #3 with their latest single, “Payphone” from their fourth studio album Overexposed which is due out June 26, 2012.

#2 – Gotye – “Somebody That I Used To Know”

Belgium-Australian musician, Gotye falls to the #2 spot with his song “Somebody That I Used To Know from his 2011 album, Making Mirrors.

#1 – The Wanted – “Glad You Came”

Making their way up on the countdown, The Wanted climb to the #1 spot with their single, “Glad You Came” from their second studio album, Battleground.
