Kevin The Intern Celebrates National Hot Dog Month With The Cardinals
The Cardinals are celebrating National Hot Dog month in a giant way. For a limited only, fans can feast on the “Giant Slugger,” a two foot long, one pound hotdog for $26 dollars!
The “Giant Slugger” is prepared by the team’s concessionaire Delaware North Sportservive, can weigh in at 2.75 pounds with all of the fixings; two full cups of chili, nacho cheese, grilled onions and jalapenos. This is the largest hot dog in the history of Busch Stadium and will be available throughout July in Ford Plaza.
To help introduce this giant dog to fans, the team is sponsoring a Giant Slugger Hot Dog eating contest at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 4th in the Ford Plaza. Y98’s very own Kevin The Intern will be there watching to see which contestant can eat the Giant Slugger within a one hour time limit!
Fans can volunteer to participate at the Ford Plaza prior to the contest by entering their name in a random drawing. The Grand Prize Winner will receive four tickets to a game,. a customized team jersey and an autographed baseball. The runned up with receive 8 game tickets with $100 of Cards Cash, while the third place winner will receive 4 tickets to a game & a food voucher. All contestants will receive a free t-shirt, free coupon for one Giant Slugger hot dog and the pride of knowing they were part of Busch Stadium history!
