Get ready for Pet-A-Palooza 2012! CBS Radio is pleased to bring you Pet-A-Palooza presented by Tropiclean.

WHAT IS PET-A-PALOOZA?
Pet-A-Palooza is a gift to you, the pet owner, to celebrate your special friend(s). The pet-friendly festival takes place on Saturday, July 7th from 11 am – 4 pm at Purina Farms in Grey Summit, MO (just 10 minutes from Six Flags). The festivities take place in the Purina Event Center, an 84,000-square-foot state-of-the-art indoor air-conditioned facility.

Pet-A-Palooza will also hold one of the largest pet adoption days in St. Louis, featuring at least 15 different agencies for adoptions.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
The event is free to attend, but there will be a parking fee.

WHAT CAN I DO AT PET-A-PALOOZA?
Whether you have a pet or not, there is plenty to enjoy! There will be a grooming area for pets, a kids area with inflatables and games, a pet photo booth, food, live music from “Delicious Fishes” and much more. Shop all the best pet shops in St. Louis and try out some of the latest pet gear and accessories.

In addition to all of these activities, you can still enjoy the great features Purina Farms has to offer every day. These include a canine agility course, the Incredible Dog Challenge, the Barn and Play area, and more. The Pro Plan Performance Team Dog Show takes place at the Incredible Dog Arena at 11 am, 1pm and 3pm. Wagon Rides will take place during the day from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Have fun while staying cool. Test your pet’s agility over the Pet Obstacle Course! Challenge your pet by running them through a  tunnel, weave polls, and jumping hurdles.

CAN I BRING MY PET?
Yes! All pets must be registered and current on all shots. Dogs must be on a leash at all times during event.

Purina Farms is located in Gray Summit, just 10 minutes from Six Flags. Use the map below for directions.

WHAT KINDS OF PETS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION?
Everything from dogs and cats to rabbits and ferrets! Rescue organizations will be on site to help make sure this is the biggest adoption event in St. Louis. Visitors will be able to complete applications to adopt pets, and your furry friend can be claimed at the shelter after the event.
