The woman responsible for some of this generation’s greatest “chick flicks” has passed away. Nora Ephron was the screenwriter who wrote When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail, Julie & Julia, Michael, My Blue Heaven, and Silkwood.
Her most successful film was You’ve Got Mail. Perhaps, because she had created such amazing chemistry between Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan in Sleepless In Seattle.
At one time, Nora Ephron was married to Carl Bernstein, famous for the Watergate scandal.
Nora Eprhon was 71 and had been suffering from cancer.
