What’s your idea of an ideal weight? See Crystal Renn in “Sports Illustrated” and see what you think.
Crystal Renn’s weight as a model has fluctuated between a size double-zero to a size 16, but now she falls between a size 6 and 8. She’s come under fire for losing weight, but looks pretty healthy in the “Sports Illustrated” Swimsuit Issue.
She’s no longer considered “plus-size”, but she’s also not skinny enough to be considered a “traditional” model. At her skinniest, she battled anorexia, and now that she falls between “super skinny” and “plus-size”, she says she won’t gain weight to be considered a traditional “plus-size” model (size 14 and up):
I would have to have another eating disorder to live up to that expectation. I had anorexia because someone else set the standard for me and I wanted to follow it.
Do you think “Sports Illustrated” should’ve featured more “plus-size” or “real” looking models?
