Sad day for the famous Carter family. Leslie Carter, sister of Nick and Aaron, was found dead yesterday. TMZ is reporting her death as a result of prescription drug abuse.

25 year old Leslie Carter had recently moved from Canada to upstate New York to be with her family as she battled her dependence on prescription drugs. Aaron Carter is currently in the off-broadway production of The Fantastiks and is taking time off to be with the family. Nick, however, has chosen to remain on his tour. He says touring is cathartic for him and he’s dedicating all upcoming performances to his sister.

Leslie Carter was featured on the reality show, House of Carters, and leaves behind a husband and one year old daughter.

Celebs tweeted their condolences to the Carter family today like:

• Russell Simmons: “Sending my thoughts and prayers to the Carter family.”

• Lance Bass: “Thoughts and prayers for my boys @aaroncarter and @nickcarter.”

• Naughty by Nature “Condolences to our homies Nick Carter & Aaron Carter on the loss of their sister. R.I.P. Leslie Carter.”

Dina Lohan also tweeted her condolences to the family. Remember, back in the day, when Lindsay and Aaron Carter dated??
