Britney Spears‘ high production tour rolls across UK arenas this week – in support of her most recent album Femme Fatale.
The album came out in March, giving users plenty of time to take it in prior to her tour. Last.fm Trends looks at how it has been scrobbling.
Femme Fatale has been scrobbled a very impressive 12,684,793 times. To put this into context, 2007′s Blackout has been scrobbled 14,745,548 times and 2008′s Circus stands at 18,503,487 scrobbles – showing how quick Femme Fatale has caught up.
The popularity of the album is emphasized more by looking at her latest top weekly tracks chart. The top two spots come in the form of album singles “I Wanna Go” and “Till The World Ends”, listened to by 13,813 and 13,763 listeners last week, respectively.
Scrobbles for the album set Britney agonizingly close to hitting 2,000,000 weekly scrobbles:
Whilst her weekly scrobble counts have dropped a bit, she will be going into the tour with a lot of confidence that fans will be appreciating new material alongside her old fan favorites.
