Lady Gaga cover for “Born This Way“. What is up with her alien face/shoulders? Let’s hope that’s a special effect and not a permanent thing. Knowing Gaga, it could be….
Simon Cowell is weighing in on Christina Aguilera’s National Anthem flub. He said,
“To mess the words up, I mean, not great. But look, I always say this is what happens when you perform in front of an audience. You know, even someone as experienced as Christina, you can get it wrong, but that was bad.”
Btw, Christina is being offered the chance to redeem herself. The Brooklyn Cyclones baseball team have extended the offer to sing the Anthem this summer. They’re not holding out a lot of hope that she’ll accept, but I think it would be a great PR move if she can laugh at herself, sing the anthem there, and turn things around.
Lindsay Lohan is up for a “major role” in the new Superman movie…it’s not Lois Lane, but it’s apparently big. One thing that might get in the way of that…being charged with felony grand theft today. The D.A.’s office is going to ask the judge to admit three past “incidents” into evidence:
- Lindsay was suspected of taking a $400,000 necklace in 2009 from an “Elle” magazine photo shoot
- She was accused of stealing a $12,000 fur coat in 2008 from a NYC nightclub
- Just last year she was accused of taking a $35,000 Rolex from a “friend”
Actress Olivia Wilde should be the poster child for getting married later in life. She and her husband of eight years just split after “her career exploded and she saw being married is not as much fun….She feels she missed out on being single getting married so young, and wants to sow her wild oats.” But here’s what she’s giving up – she’s an Italian PRINCESS!!! Her husband, Tao Ruspoli, is an Italian prince. Last year, Olivia mentioned it in an interview; she said, “I never call myself [a princess]. I occasionally get mail that says ‘Principessa.’ It’s all part of being this lucky person who has been welcomed into an interesting family with a long history…How many people get to say, ‘This castle has been in our family since the 1400s?’” Olivia and Tao were married when she was just 18, and he was 27…she’s 26 now and he’s 35.

Channing Tatum stars in “The Eagle”, which comes out this weekend. But he’s being realistic: he expects to get MURDERED at the box office by Justin Bieber’s film, “Never Say Never”. Matthew Perry had something to add about Bieber when he was on “Ellen” yesterday. He said that Justin uses “Chandler Bing” when he checks into hotels. Matthew added, “Gotta find a new one [now], pal.”

Another day, another nasty TV show title. There have been a lot popping up lately, ever since “(Bleep) My Dad Says”, and the latest is a new FOX sitcom called “Chicks and D****”. Zooey Deschanel is in talks to star in the show.
“Spider-Man” is getting slammed by critics. An early review from “The New York Times” review asked, “how can 65-million-dollars look so cheap?” The reviewer went on to say the show is “beyond repair”, and “a persistent headache”. The show is set to open next month.
